Palm Springs Modernism Week, the only such event in the country, is an exciting 9-day celebration of mid-century modern design, architecture and culture. This design aesthetic, originated in the 1950s and 60s, was typified by clean, simple lines and celebrated elegant informality which came to define desert modernism.

Growing up on Treasure Island,Fl. surrounded by all of the amazing mid-century Mom and Pop motels it was very inspiring for me. Fast forward 25 years -and now being the owner of a Mid Century Motel in Santa Barbara. I had a dream to somehow acquire one of these old Motels where I grew up and modernize it while at the same time preserving the Mid-Century architecture. Unfortunately someone beat me to it, however I am still happy to know that one of these gems in my hometown has been preserved (most others have long been destroyed by condo developers) !!!! Welcome Post Card Inn and the best of luck to you !!!!!
It’s cold everywhere in the U.S.-except Santa Barbara
