Ghost Tiger-May 31st @ SoHo

After playing around Santa Barbara in a variety of projects, a group of friends came together in 2011 as Ghost Tiger. Frustrated with the limitations of working as a solo-singer songwriter, frontwoman Alixandra Macmillan-Fiedel started looking for new ways to expand her sound with members Kevin Evans, Christopher Norlinger, Emma Huston and Chris Stansell. Collaboration is key for the eclectic group. Coming from a variety of musical backgrounds, the band combines old and new flavors in a synthesis of four-part harmony, atmospheric sound and soulful vocals that culminate in a refreshing approach to indie-rock.

We heart the Santa Barbara Film Festival
January 28, 2012 no comments
One of the most exciting things about this time of year is the annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The streets, bars and restaurants fill up with people from all over the country and the world coming together to share their love for film. One of the most anticipated events for us this year: favorite local band Gardens and Villa will be performing a live original score to F.W Murnau’s 1926 silent masterpiece Faust at the Lobero Theater, February 4th at 8pm. We will surely be there to enjoy this performance where modern meets classic. You can purchase tickets for this event and find out more information about screenings and events at www.sbiff.com.
