The Municipal Winemakers  will open a tasting room in the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara, making them the eleventh and newest winery to join the Santa Barbara Urban Wine Trail. Each new producer has added flavor to the Urban Wine Trail, which is gaining popularity with locals and tourists alike as a premium wine tasting destination.

The cozy new tasting room is set quietly off the street towards the back of the same building that houses the Kunin/Westerly tasting room at 28 Anacapa Street, just a couple hundred yards from the beach. Visitors who discover it are rewarded with a rich tasting experience – a full immersion into the Muniverse where wine is demystified through friendliness and education.

Industrial machinery, old office furniture and found objects have been repurposed and recycled as functional design. Highlights include: tables with community seating for sharing the wine experience, and an outdoor patio to enjoy the sunny Santa Barbara weekends. The best part, however, is the lineup of reasonably priced delicious wines that represent some of the best values in Santa Barbara County.
