Growing up on Treasure Island,Fl. surrounded by all of the amazing mid-century Mom and Pop motels it was very inspiring for me. Fast forward 25 years -and now being the owner of a Mid Century Motel in Santa Barbara. I had a dream to somehow acquire one of these old Motels where I grew up and modernize it while at the same time preserving the Mid-Century architecture. Unfortunately someone beat me to it, however I am still happy to know that one of these gems in my hometown has been preserved  (most others have long been destroyed by  condo developers) !!!!
